WHERE WE ARE
PERFORMANCE GROWS

MARKET VIEW CONGO-BRAZZAVILLE

With its abundant resources, growing economy and well-educated population, the country is on the upswing again. Growth of around 5.3% is forecasted for 2024. Compared to its neighbor, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which is characterized by political instability and armed conflict, Congo-Brazzaville offers a more stable political and economic environment. The infrastructure is generally well developed and legal certainty is guaranteed. The country offers interesting investment opportunities, particularly in the areas of raw materials extraction and agriculture.

Our locations in Gamboma and Massangui

Our investment proposal will implement two extensive concessions for forestry and agricultural use of approximately 129,500 hectares of land in Gamboma and Massangui. Both locations are situated near the Brazzaville/Kinshasa metropolitan area and offer ideal conditions for the cultivation of agricultural and forestry products due to their favorable climatic conditions and soil quality.

The proximity to the country's main roads the transportation of goods. The region is characterized by degraded scrubland that is neither inhabited nor used by indigenous tribes and therefore offers the best conditions for cultivation.

PLANNING

The project aims to improve food security, promote carbon sequestration and preserve biodiversity. The planned utilization includes a combination of fast, medium and slow growing tree species. The timber produced will be sold directly to local construction companies for use in building purposes such as scaffolding and concrete formwork (no transportation required). After 8-10 years, small and medium-sized sawmills and wood panel manufacturers will take over the main harvest of the wood, which is urgently needed in the booming cities of Brazzaville & Kinshasa. In agriculture, mainly corn, soy, sorghum and wheat will be grown for the local market.

SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE

In addition, asc impact was granted a special economic zone (SEZ) in the immediate vicinity of the Gamboma concession, covering an area of around 4,000 hectares. asc impact will develop and operate the necessary infrastructure there as part of a transparent cost model.

Investors benefit from stable and preferential tax and customs regulations, access to shared infrastructure, and integration into the local, dynamically developing industrial cluster of agriculture and forestry. In addition, the strategically located site offers easy market access to regional customers, particularly in the rapidly growing economic area between Brazzaville and Kinshasa—one of the largest urban growth markets in Central Africa.

ECOLOGICAL IMPACT

ECOLOGICAL
IMPACT

Forestry

Reforestation through site-optimized mosaic planting of fast-growing tree species as well as medium and slow-growing species, which contributes significantly to improving ecological integrity and maximizing production output.

Compliance with and preservation of biodiversity corridors and riparian zones to protect and maintain water quality.

By protecting small isolated indigenous forests and targeted reforestation, a bioreserve of over 1,000 hectares is being created to strengthen the local ecosystem and ensure biodiversity.

Agriculture

Resource-conserving cultivation does not use harmful substances or genetically modified plants and uses sustainable irrigation from rivers (no groundwater).

Activities
  • Satellite-based reforestation monitoring
  • Soil analysis (eDNA-based) incl. biodiversity monitoring
  • Precision agriculture with regard to irrigation & fertilizer application
